A great way to change up a look from day to night is to change of the tone of your metals.
We took this strapless Forever 21 hombre maxi dress and gave it simple gold accessories for day, paired with a Gap blouse underneath for a more conservative look. For night, we spiced it up harder-edged silver and gunmetal tones, studs, a black fedora, Nine West bangles, and strappy shoes.

In this edition of Coffee to Cocktails we take a silk purple kimono dress by Jay Ahr and transformed it from day to night! The day outfit takes basic black tights adds a belt for shape and tops it off with a scarf for a casual touch.
While the night look uses a darker shade of purple tights to offset the light sheen of the more metallic purple used in the dress. The Jeffrey Campbell boots at a touch of masculinity as does the military style jacket. This feminine/masculine combination for the night outfit is super chic, we could see Emmanuelle Alt in this, non?

Come chilly Fall we will all be living in our most comfy flannel! For this edition we took an adorable ruffle front flannel ( HINT: purchase men’s flannel cheaper and comfier!) and took a day time look with jean shorts and blazer and transformed to a going out outfit complete with dark denim skinnies and knee high black boots!

For this week’s coffee to cocktails we transform a basic black full skirt from day time to night. My inspiration was a day shopping in SOHO (notice the big bag and flat shoes for comfort and possible storage of purchased items after a long day of shopping!). My night inspiration was a night out with the girls or a Fashion Week after party!
