Halloween Costume: Joan Holloway

Who doesn’t love Joan Holloway from AMC’s hit show Mad Men. She is the sexy, sassy, and smart head secretary that keeps the crazy office in check. And we are pretty sure there are going to be lots of Joanies running around but we love it! Also, we love Halloween costumes that  have items that are wearable on normal days ( very economical!). So get your hands on the following:

**Not included…Padding for bra

Black Halo Keyhole Ruffle Sleeve Sheath Dress $345

Adina Reyter Snake Necklace $75

Red Wig

Do you know it wasn’t until the Emmy awards that I realized that actress that plays Joan Holloway didn’t use any padding. I have to give her props on that Va VA VA Voom body!
Another idea for ths dress is to add a broche and some flats and a shorter brunette wig and your Michelle Obama!

We used to make them when we first opened in the early sixties. We don’t make them anymore and honestly, the one way you can get it eBay or a lucky thrift find. But we do make a replica of it. Dually posted on my blog – http://www.jewelrygalblog.com/2008/10/the-great-mad-men-pen-necklace-mystery/.
